What was to become Rheumatology Consultants of WNY began in 1981 when Dr. Robert Kaprove, a Board Certified Rheumatologist, opened his first practice.  In 1989 Dr. Karen Krutchick, also a Board Certified Rheumatologist joined the practice, creating Kaprove and Krutchick, MDs.   In the late 1990’s RCWNY hired their first NP.  This was the first of many physician assistants and NP’s to join our practice.  In 2005, the name of the practice was changed to Rheumatology Consultants of WNY, PC.   In 2009 we welcomed Dr. Mark Schulte in to the practice. In 2010 Dr. Michael Weingarten joined the group.  Both Dr. Schulte and Dr. Weingarten are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.  Dr. Kaprove retired in 2015.  Dr. Krutchick retired in 2018.   RCWNY continues to provide expert rheumatologic care under the leadership of Dr. Schulte and Dr. Weingarten along with our superb physician assistants.  We also offer onsite infusions overseen by our excellent team of compassionate, experienced nurses.
